Tipping the Mate And Captain It is generally customary to tip the Mate and Captain. The Mate is there to help you have a great time and catch fish. He will instruct you, if necessary, in the use of the tackle, and will coach you in fishing techniques. He will explain the boat; instruct you on the use of the head and various safety equipment. For a nominal fee he will clean, bag and ice your fish for you and pack it in a your cooler for you. The Captain is there to put you on the fish and make sure the Mate is doing all of the above!! Mounting A Trophy Fish If you catch a trophy fish and wish to have a mount, please notify the captain. In order to create a mount, the taxidermist needs appropriate measurements. From this he will create a gorgeous plastic or fiberglass mount. THERE IS NO NEED TO KILL THE FISH!!!!. This is accepted practice in the industry, as we all want to preserve and protect our oceans and its inhabitants. Bring A Camera The ocean is ever changing and fascinating. You will most likely see some wonderful sights, such as porpoises, sea turtles, and maybe even a whale. Bring Your Food And Drink For The Day On all day charters you can request a food package for an extra fee. Bring
Sun Glasses And Sun Screen This is for your safety as much as to protect the boat. |
